Southington Unico

Southington UNICO is a service-oriented non-profit organization serving the Wallingford, CT community and surrounding areas with a mission rooted in three core objectives: providing service to fellow man and community, fostering and promoting Italian heritage, and supporting charitable educational projects. Since its founding in 1944, when 28 men of Italian origin established the Southington chapter, UNICO has maintained an unwavering commitment to these principles and the organization's foundational motto of "Service Above Self."

The organization embodies the values inherent in the UNICO acronym—Unity, Neighborliness, Integrity, Charity, and Opportunity—guiding all member activities and community initiatives. As part of UNICO National, a broader network established in 1922, Southington UNICO has earned recognition for its dedication to service, including receiving a Certificate of Achievement from UNICO National in acknowledgment of its outstanding contributions.

Membership in the Southington Chapter of UNICO National represents an enriching opportunity to connect with a community that values service, cultural heritage, and camaraderie. The organization welcomes individuals of Italian heritage or those married to individuals of Italian heritage who are of good character and reputation.
